ABOUT ME

I am a rather quiet girl which loves riding her bikes more that anything else in the world. I don't party very often - I prefer small gatherings with my closest friends.

Currently I'm a student of Spatial Economics (it's mostly learning about how the cities and regions should be governed to function well). In Łódź I volunteer in a few non-government organizations which focus on doing projects connected with making my hometown a better place to live. I like promoting cycling as one of the best ways to commute in the city, what is still considered in my country as something odd. Being a local activist consumes most of my free time.

I love my hometown so much that even though I could move wherever I wanted, I decided to stay in Łódź and help to improve this city so that it becomes more attractive in the future :-)

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I would be happy to show anyone around my postindustrial hometown (by foot or by bike) and take you out for a nice meal in any of the amazing restaurants in the old factories :-)

I have surfed a couple of times and I host as often as I can.

Interesses

1. Bicycles - I just can't live without them. Not only do I have a Kronan city bike but also a cross and a recumbent one :-)

2. Urbanism, public spaces, city design etc. - I just love reading books written by Jane Jacobs or Kevin Lynch.

3. Modern architecture - I enjoy reading about it and looking at it, but I don't have a clue how it's made.

4. Interior design - Arne Jacobsen is my favorite designer, but there are plenty of others whose projects I admire. Chairs are my favorite piece of furniture.

5. Design, typography etc.

6. I nearly forgot: I love cooking!
