ABOUT ME

Before I left the UK to go travelling I was the manager of a bar in my hometown, a kind of stop-gap job before I joined the working world as an architect when I got back.

PHILOSOPHY

Sometimes I think I believe something just because the words came out of my mouth, because otherwise I wouldnt know what to think.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´m new to this so have limited experience so far.. A friend of mine did it once in Oslo and recommended it though- thats about as close as my CS experiences got until I made a little trip down the east coast of America, couchsurfing as much as possible.
Always available to show people round and meet up.

兴趣

Art and the built environment, and especially the bit where they cross over and you get really imaginative public spaces. I like to play basketball a couple of times a week, and I'm currently training for an open water swim in the summer. Ive always liked drawing, but don't do enough of it anymore. I could look at maps and globes all day and not get bored. Plus, my bike- this little beast is used as much as possible around Stroud (weather permitting). Just started surfing too and loving it (surf surf not couch surf).

Currently reading ´The Death and Life of Great American Cities´by Jane Jacobs, and 'Catch 22'. I like reading about foods that are supposed to be good for you, and then just eating pizza anyway.

Listen to a lot of folk/acoustic music too, although am partial to a bit of brass band every now and again too. Brass Roots, Hot 8 Brass Band, Hynotic Brass Ensemble to name a few. Talking Heads are an old favourite, plus The Skints are new favourite. Some punk, some ska, its an ever-expanding list.

Films- ´The Wave´, ´Cool Hand Luke´,´Animal House´, ´Once were Warriors´ plus Westerns with Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. 'Trailor Park Boys'.
