ABOUT ME

Born and raised in a crazy and complex town: Sao Paulo. Although it is a crazy city, with many inequalities, I'm able to enjoy the cultural diversity of this place. There are a lot of small countries inside Sao Paulo. Of course, to live in the middle of so much diversity and complexity allowed me to expand my looks beyond the social classic conventions.
I'm a mix, just like my city and my country! I love the drums of samba, the capoeira berimbau, but also the orchestra's violin. I love the sea, I like the florest, but I also like the uncontrolled noise of city centre. I love to laugh, to cry of hapinnes and I also like to sing - but please, never aks me to do that!

I cannot offer couch 'cause I still live with my family, but I can offer my company for a coffee or a nice ride around town.

Sociology, cinema, political and social movements, urban moviments, cultural studies, art studies, art and politica.

I love travelling with friends or by myself - I'm not doing this very often recently 'cause I'm planning a big trip - but I wish to visit many countries, specially the ones in Latin America and Europe.
I really want to go to Amazonia and North of Brazil.

I love to meet my friends after work and share laughs, histories and facts. Walk by the city just looking around searching for the best angle or an unexpected portraits.

Cinema, my passion!
- Brazilian movies (Casa de Areia, Cidade de Deus, A Deriva, Terra em Transe, O cheiro do Ralo and so many others!)
- Italian neorrealism (specially Di Sica and Rossellini, but also Fellini and Bertolucci)
- French cinema (from Nouvelle Vague untill now)
- Documentaries
- Cinema Latino (Y tu mama también, Diários de Motocicleta, La Plata Quemada...)
- Animations, and so on...

Music, I love music! Samba, MPB and Bossa Nova.
Several rock influences such as: The doors, red hot, metallica, ad/dc, the cure, belle and sebastian, blur,manu chao, o rappa, fela kuti, daft punk. Love jazz (Miles Davis, Coltrane, so son)

So many books...Orwell, Garcia Marques, Jorge Amado, Huxley, Aloísio Azevedo, Hunter S. Thompson, Saramago. I love comics as well, Calvin ans Hobbs, Mafalda, Fritz the Cat, Mauss ans Stigma are my favorits.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love to look at the moon when I'm in the beach.

Loved to dance Forro in my last trip to Porto de Galinhas. The colors of the sea and people are amazing!
London was absolutely fantastic and I don't need to say nothing about Eifell Tower, do I?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach portuguese and basic english. I can teach some steps of samba as well - very basic steps. I would like to learn how to play brazilian percussion instruments such as pandeiro.
