Overview
About Me
I finished my university studies in Film and International Studies in August 2015, and three hours later I was on a flight to Madrid to begin a year of traveling, working, and playing!
MY PHILOSOPHY
Making memories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have wanted to travel the world for as long as I can remember, and have tried to take every chance I can to do so. While seeing historic sights and beautiful natural wonders is amazing in its own right, I have always searched for more alternative ways to travel in order to truly experience different cultures and make deeper human connections. And eat delicious food...I love to food and make it my personal mission to try every traditional food I can when visiting a country :) I recently started hitchiking when possible, and love every moment of meeting everyday people from the place I am in. I did many homestays during my studies, and believe that those are the experiences that have most informed me as a person. Luckily, a friend told me about Couchsurfing, and now I can continue doing "homestays" as I travel!

Music, Movies, and Books
Hardest part of this profile to fill out y far. My answers are always constantly changing based on new books I read, music I listen to, and film I see
Back home I am very into the local music scene, and so live music is a huge passion of mine. New artists and oldies are always intermingling on my playlists. Right now, a short sampling of what I'm listening to is: Sufjan Stevens, Tame Impala, Elvis Depressedly, Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley, The Unicorns, James Blake, SBTRKT...the list goes on and on. Show me a cool band and they'll probably be on this list in a week :)
I constantly reading, and am always looking for book recommendations. I tend to alternate between classics that I see/have heard are must-reads for any book-lover (from Tolstoy to Hemingway to Dumas) and more recent books written by authors I've has recommended to me (from Haruki Murukami to David Foster Wallace to Tom Robbins).
As for films....I can never decide. I am always down to watch art house experimental films just as much as shitty comedy blockbusters. A stereotypical film student, the one film my mind always goes back to is Breathless (A Bout de Souffle) by Godard. Or Hook. Hook's a good one :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fed wild dingos from my mouth, stood at the edge of a lava lake that had overflowed and become a lava river, experienced Khmer new year with a huge group of locals, bungeed off the highest bridge bungee in the work in South Africa!
