About Me

I'm a 24 year old music-lover living in Philadelphia. I work as a barista during the day and a music journalist at night. I write and produce my own zine featuring artists from the Philadelphia area. Music is a big part of my life, but I also enjoy traveling, reading, drinking craft beer, and cooking. I have my degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability, so the environment and its health are very important to me. I consider myself a NUMTOT (if you know, you know), which basically means I value public transit and getting around via buses or trains whenever possible. I love living in Philadelphia and exploring every block of this diverse and creative city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing because I've been fortunate to meet the most lovely people. When I was a student at the University of Pittsburgh, my roommate and I hosted guests on our couch and always enjoyed sharing a meal and showing off our city to travelers. I value the experiences I've had meeting new, friendly people from different cities (or even countries) and am excited to have the opportunity to be hosted myself. The Couchsurfing community is so positive and welcoming, and I'm optimistic about meeting new and exciting people :).

Ooh and I'd also appreciate insider tips about where to go/what to see! I'd prefer to explore places off the beaten trail rather than take advice from TripAdvisor.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly Philly artists such as Hop Along, Japanese Breakfast, (Sandy) Alex G, and many smaller groups. Many of my friends make music, and I love talking about it.

Ishmael by Daniel Quinn is my personal equivalent of The Bible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August, I hosted a month-long residency at a local music venue where I was responsible for curating four nights of shows. We raised money to support the zine I produce as well as generously compensate the bands involved. It was a really beautiful month of love and support for the arts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love having thoughtful conversations! If you drink, I'd also be more than happy to bring over some local brews. I'm considerate and cleanly and won't stay long in the house--I'll mostly be sightseeing during the day.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ecuador, France, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom
