About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seeking my fortunes across the seven seas

ABOUT ME

I like travelling, seeing things off the beaten path, eating, and spending time with interesting people. I like doing things I've never done before, and sharing those experiences with good friends and good people.

I can pull a quarter from your ear, and swim underwater. I can make steak on a stake, and point out the differences between bears and dogs. I hop on one foot, cross my eyes, and move my ears. I can put a worm on a hook and use it to catch fish, and then cook the fish! I can whistle, I can count to ten in 5 languages, I know the phonetic alphabet.

I've only got one lifetime to expand this list.

PHILOSOPHY

As a shadow, such is life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love doing just about anything I haven't done before. Sharing a good meal with interesting people is just about the best evening I can imagine. PS I can cook, so I'll be happy to prepare you dinner. I'm a carnivore to the core, but I can make a few decent vegetarian meals too.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Old Man and the Sea, The Great Gatsby, Catcher In The Rye, LOTR, GoT, 100 Years of Solitude, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went down the Mexican Coast, and in one of the fishing towns kids were selling sardine-like fish for ten cents each. We spent the whole afternoon feeding wild sea lions on the beach.

I went camping in Georgia and caught a shark off the pier during a thunderstorm.

I taught my little brother how to whistle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was in the Army for a bit so I have some cool survival skills, plus I cook, play harmonica (still learning).

I can light a fire with one match, and I can make great chili, I'm the Cherry Pit Spitting Champ (unopposed). If you want to learn these amazing skills, and more stay with me or let me crash at your place.

Countries I’ve Visited
