About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world and meet people with different perspectives
ABOUT ME
I started travelling in January 2013 and was immediately hooked. My original plan for a 6 month trip turned into an 11 month extravaganza, followed quickly by another 6 months. I've finally returned to "real life," but all the time I'm planning new trips and escapes.
I think the thing I love most about travelling is meeting people from different cultures and seeing things I could never see at home. I love putting myself out of my comfort zone, making me open to pretty much any new experience. You should also know I'm very outgoing and talkative - I thrive on meaningful conversations.
Oh, I also love to bake, so if you have an oven and a sweet tooth, I'm always interested in baking something for a host!
PHILOSOPHY
I could go on for hours, but for now I'll just say: happiness is a top priority for me. I think if you're unhappy, change your situation. If you can't, focus on your perspective. Regardless of how you do it, life is too short to spend it unhappy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've just arrived home, and unfortunately won't be able to host until I get myself more set up. But as soon as I'm able, I'd love to give back to the CS community as a thank all those who hosted me :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One of my best couchsurfing experiences: Mochan's Wish Club bus tour in August 2014 - a bus tour of Japan organized by the amazing Mochan.
I had the privilege of travelling around Japan with around 20 other couchsurfers, crammed into the back of Mochan's bus. It was such a cool way to meet people of all types, from all places. How can you not love a site that makes such an experience so easy to organize?
Interests
Any new or exciting experience interests me. I love good conversations, unexpected nights out, trekking (or any activity that let's me be in nature), seeing new places, meeting new people, skiing, skating...

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything, really. Currently reading "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying" - amazing book!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done was a 12 day silent meditation retreat in Thailand. It was incredible! The lessons I learned about myself (and the human mind in general) will follow me for the rest of my life.
