About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find myself.
ABOUT ME
Now I'm not going to lie, my obsession with traveling and longboarding has taken a toll on my ability to function as a "normal" human being. Longboarding is a huge part of my life, and through it I have been able to travel to the most incredible places and meet some of the best people I know. I love racing (longboarding that is) chasing races is my preferred pastime. On top of that I am a check ride away from becoming a private pilot. I love camping and music, and I also adore swing and contra dancing. I've worked on farms my whole life, and I absolutely love it. Something about working that closely with the earth, and being around people who understand that, it really makes me feel at peace... and I rarely feel at peace. I'm a restless soul trying to find myself in this world.
PHILOSOPHY
Above anything, be able to rely on yourself for love and support. Do what makes you happy, give without expectations. Be present. Immerse yourself. And don't have any regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I havent surfed or hosted anyone yet, though I plan on doing both in the future. In the mean time, I hope to travel as much as I can and hopefully utilize as many welcoming couches as possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ok, so this wasn't technically through CouchSurfing, but I spent most of my summer surfing the couches of longboarders from Los Angeles California to Goldendale Washington where I attended the first ever all female freeride of the greatest road on earth: Maryhill Loops Road. (Check out my photos!)
A few weeks later I found myself being picked up at Newark airport by another longboarder I had met at a race a few months earlier. We spent the weekend couch hopping our way up to Massachusetts for another race. The best part of this adventure was that I won the race! It was my first big win, and the adventure I had getting there made the whole experience worth while.
Interests
-Longboarding! I'm convinced downhill skateboarding has made me a less interesting person but then I think... whats more interesting than riding a plank of wood down roads reaching speeds up to 50+ mph? I mean come on.
-Aviation. I would love to talk to some other pilots! I had always wanted to fly ever since I was little, and its finally coming together, I'm a check-ride away from becoming a private pilot
-Traveling. Of course! I love it! I'm always happiest when traveling. I dont mind sleeping on floors, outside, on rooftops, it doesn't matter! I want to feel every ache of that experience.
-Music. Specifically folk and indie, but I have many interests. I really love folk festivals when I can go, I'm a wicked contra dancer, I can go all night.
-Tea. Have a favorite tea? I would love to try it, I'm a connoisseur of sorts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite travel experiences happened this past summer. I flew out to California, and met a group of women skaters (none of whom had met before) and road tripped up the entire west coast to attend the first Maryhill she-ride. Our journey was covered by a writer for a longboarding magazine called SkateSlate check it out! Along the way we surfed couches and skated some of the best hills in the country.
