About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have some fun in life and see everything that I can!
I took a break from the couch surfing community for a while due to work and school, and now I'm ready to get back into it! I'm on a multi-month, multi-continent back packing trip now and can't wait to see what's next out in the world and the new friends I haven't met yet!

ABOUT ME

I am a pretty easy going girl who likes the outdoors. I love Anchorage and Alaska in general. I love to travel, and have deep philosophical conversations. I would love to share stories over a good meal. Mostly I am quiet, but enjoy a good sense of humor. I’m lucky to have an amazing partner and a loving family that I truly enjoy.

OTHER THINGS I LOVE
The beach
Dogs
Sunshine
Music
Art
Food!

PHILOSOPHY

Mostly, I believe in karma and good manners. I believe that the world is full of good people, and all you need is a smile and sincerity to go far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because it's an opportunity to either get out of your comfort zone (surfing) or help a kindred spirit out (hosting). Every one I meet through couch surfing has been an amazing, interesting, and kind person. Let's keep it spreading!

Interests

I love history, philosophy, and politics. I love a good conversation or debate. I love the small moments of life like a fabulous song on the radio on a sunny day, or seeing kids riding their bikes. I love animals and I have a great family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw an owl in my neighborhood one summer. It was super cool and very beautiful.
I've been lucky enough to spend lots of time with family on a small island in Greece, and I like experiencing a totally different way of life.
I once went tubing down a river in the Dominican Republic, and I would LOVE to go again!
I’ve been to over 30 countries.
I have been surrounded by elephants on safari in South Africa.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm learning to cook, so I like watching others cook. I think people have a cooking style that is totally unrelated from the ingredients that they use. Besides that, I love learning new things. I think I'm a good listener.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook! My specialties are lentil soup and red eggs!
