About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pay it forward..

ABOUT ME

Born in the States, raised in Colombia, and still living the nomadic lifestyle. When people ask me "where do I live?" I am still unsure as to how to answer. I would like to keep this a mystery giving us plenty to talk about when I finally come to visit. I also much rather hear people's stories than my own, it's always more fun that way. Everyone has a story; you live and you learn.

PHILOSOPHY

1) Live by the minute. You regret more the things that you didn't do than those that you did do.
2) Be thankful for what you have.. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

How I participate? Ummm, not sure what that means.... I'm always looking for adventures and seeing what this world has to offer. Trying to travel through the World on a shoestring and meet some interesting people along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started my profile when I was living in China, a friend told me about this website and recommended that I check it out. I've traveled around in Australia and stayed with friends of friends there. I'm pretty conscientious and I am always really appreciative of people willing to help out others in even the smallest ways.

My experience couch surfing with people in Australia was really positive b/c I was able to meet interesting people and visit really cool places I never would have found otherwise!

Interests

Traveling, eating exotic food, hearing different sounds/music. I did my yoga training 2 years ago when I was living in Washington, D.C. doing my masters in International Relations (which I didn't finish, so don't ask) then was going to take of to the Peace Corps to live 27 months in Ecuador somewhere but that plan fell through. Interests, I have many, and with every day that goes by I find a new one. I think when we get lost, it gives us the opportunity to truly find ourselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music! I like all kinds: reggae, indie, spanish rock, country, mellow/chill/lounge, chanting (for yoga). I like bands such as foster the people, two door cinema, phoenix, florence and the machine, passion pit, the kooks, temper trap, kings of leon, regina spektor, kings of convenience, angus and julia, vance joy, bon iver, mana, stick figure, guns and roses, bossa nova, edith piaf ..... I like EVERYTHING really! I am not too fond of metallica or rap. Besides that, Pandora is my best friend, which introduces me to new music and reminds me of old bands

Movies - Amelie, Motorcycle Diaries, Hector and the search for Happiness, The Way, Life of Walter Mitty, Into the Wild, Tracks, Wild, Maidentrip, etc. Anything that involves inspiration, positivity, traveling, learning about the brain. Netflix has great documentaries

Authors - Paulo Cohelo, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Mitch Albom, Malcolm Gladwell, Nick Vujicic. Again, like I mentioned before, I like to hear people's stories so anything about people's experiences

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everything's amazing in this world. There is not one thing I can say is more amazing than the other. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm more of an observer than a teacher at this point. Just trying to figure out how to make a contribution to the world in a meaningful way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences, thoughts, positivism, yoga (but through a video because I haven't had much time to become a better instructor and remember my cueing lol), a warm heart

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Costa Rica, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, China, Colombia, Germany, Indonesia, Spain
