About Me

I am a world explorer with curiosity for all things technical. I am a Maker! I love creating, restoring and repairing stuff. I am also very big on outdoor adventures. I am a man of science, but grew up in a house of journalists, so communication has always been natural for me. So tell me about you and I will tell you my stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Always learning and trying new things has led me to participating in unforgettable adventures and meeting awesome people. Today, I find myself traveling with limited resources and a full heart to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

As much as I love classic rock, I find myself mainly listening to lofi hip-hop and electronic, techno trance music while working out or studying. But put on some salsa or meringue and stuff gets shaking. My parents sent me to music school from a young age so I grew up playing flute. I am a huge fan of independent and international films like Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, El Laberinto del Fauno. But I also love Star Wars, Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings. I am also a big anime fan!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I studied in Las Vegas, I had the chance to participate in the 2015 DARPA Humanoid Robotics Competition. We partnered with KAIST, one of the biggest Korean universities. As team architect, I was in charge of building the arena all of our robots would interact with. This event was unprecedented and set the record for modern humanoid robots like the Atlas from Boston Dynamics or Chapie from the science fiction film. In the 2015 world competition, KAIST won 1st place

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach me French!!! I would love to learn to cook new things and taste new flavors. I love to act and perform, so if you need pointers, I'm a speech and body motion coach. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I would love to teach or practice it with anybody.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to talk about arts, film and music. So I could talk for days. But I also love woodworking, machining and welding, so have a project that needs to get done? Lets get it done! Your kids have a science project they need help with?
