About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On Saturday will be opened my first solo exhibition! In NYC! Delighted is the word.

ABOUT ME

If i try to describe myself, sure i will try to present me as the character of a pasionated novel, living a romantic life constantly running from the boredom of daily urban life, fighting the giants of the social hierarchy and making of my life an adventure deserved to be lived.
Although reality maybe is not exactly like that, i can promise i have my moments. The passion is there, and the idealistic view of live also. I live intense, i look for the magic, i never give up.

I am more interested on the process than on destination. I love the places that "don't have anything to see" cause they always hide much more space for surprise. I don't like the feeling of some cities of being big theatres full of fireworks and marionettes putted there for the fast joy of the pleased traveller.

And then it's photography. Perfect activity for expressing all of this. Im not so interested in the classic concept of "the big event" photography. Not about cultural cliché neither. Moments, feelings, gestures, smiles...and hurted places that speak about humans, about history, about the lifes that took place behind them. That moves me. You take that away and i'm not there.

PHILOSOPHY

My idea of a professional success is essentially being able to make enough people interested in what i am interested to be able to live doing exactly what i want.

Interests

Im interested in getting a trumpet and learning how to play it. Considering that this fact can take the rest of my life, i'm interested also in do as many things i can before i am the master of that pretty golden instrument. UPDATE: I finally got the trumpet. It makes sounds. For the moment just that. Anybody wants to teach me?

I eventually want to learn how to speak a fluent hungarian.

I want to spend a period of my life working somewhere in: South America, Eastern Europe and maybe for a short while in the eastern Asia (China, Korea...something like that)

Music, Movies, and Books

I also love the style of Ray Bradbury, the "magical realism", and a book called "Everything is illuminated" which combines lot of things i love: Eastern Europe, absurd situations, more absurd characters and a lively pasionated attitude.Random list of Photographers that inspire me: Edward Burtynsky, Todd Hido, Richard Misrach, Walker Evans, Rimaldas Viksraitis, J.Aue Sobol, Miguel Oriola, Jari Silömaki, Mitch Epstein, Thomas Wrede, Alexander Gronsky, Joel Sternfeld, Andreas Gursky, Alexander Rodchenko and André Kertész.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about everything, from microscopic biology to concrete structure engineering. From islamic theology to postmodernist art.

In a materialist way, of course i will be pleased to speak during hours and hours and hours about photography with whoever is interested in learning a bit more.
