I'm Paloma Mas, a 21 year old student from Santiago de Compostela. I'm studying Industrial Design Engineering at university in Ferrol (small city in the northwest of Spain). I was an Erasmus student last year in Lisbon.
I'm very open and I love to talk and meet new people, because you never know who could you meet that will be very interesting. I love traveling, but unfortunately I don't do it as much as I'd love to, so I hope that Couchsurfing world will make it easier!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At my home we always have couch surfers from around the world, because my father loves to welcome everyone who needs it. That made me realize the importance of meeting people from other countries and cultures, and how fun and amazing can be. I also love the fact that thousands of people are willing to accept strangers without prejudice, and for a common good as sharing what you have .

Music, Movies, and Books

My two big favorite films are Big Fish by Tim Burton and The Terminal by Steven Spielberg. In general I am very open to any genre of films. One that I have recently seen is La pazza gioia by Paolo Virzi, a comedy highly recommended.
As favorite books, I keep the saga of The Name of the Wind.
Music is something that I could not give favorites, I'm one of those people who listen to "everything", but really. I could not settle for something fixed, I like listen to jazz, blues, chill hip hop, reggae, bossa, trap, rap, and a long etc; just depending on my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if this things are too incredible, but here they go:
I am the lead singer in music band and I love it. I am vegetarian. I am a volunteer in the ESN (Erasmus Student Network). I have traveled to some amazing places, among which I would highlight Egypt and Romania.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking, so I would be very willing to cook traditional Spanish dishes, and suuuuper nice vegetarian dishes. I really like music, but specially singing. I also like sports so we could do some activity together. I love going to museums and art galleries!
