Overview
About Me
I am an open-mind girl from Brasília, the capital of Brazil, who is a exchange student in Universidad de Chile and now that I am living in Chile I am loving it. It is one of the most beautiful countries that I have ever been. I study law because I really believe that you can do something to change the world. So, why don't start in a career that changes are so easily saw? I love environmental law and indigenous law and I hope that someday I could really see a more colorful world :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couch surfing because I really love to travel and know people and know culture and feel the places. But as I am an exchange student and I am working at the Supreme Court of Chile as a volunteer I don't have enough money :( and the true is that when you meet people who are from the place, you know the place better than other opportunities. And most of all, when you are received for someone you have real chances to make a good friend for life. You don't need money or anything in this life: You only needs friends!!!!!
Interests
My area of studying and working is Environmental Law and Indigenous Law. As I said this I have a real interest and respect for cultures that have a real connection to the nature. And I am all about learning more and knowing more about those different cultures. To elevate your conscious of the world you should learn from what people can teach you, and those who have the conscious of our connect to the earth have my entire respect.

Music, Movies, and Books
My two favorites movies are: Life is beautiful and Lion King. They represent a lot of what I believe that you should deal with life.
I really love Jack Johnson, Nando Reis, Seu Jorge, Samba, etc..
Books? I like classics! Mia Couto, Nietzsche, Machado de Assis, Giddens, Baumann, Ailton Krenak, ..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing that happened to me was when I was teaching english and maths in a slum in Jaipur, in India, and I realized how poor some people lived their lives. I was feeling horrible because in fact I will only stay for two weeks in each school that I passed by and I couldn't change their lives. And I started thinking that liking environmental was the best choice I had ever made because humans are horrible because they let that situation be true. And one day I five years old girl named Rhada came into me, we got really close during those two weeks, and she took out of her little purse a small paper with three stickers to put in the middle of your forehead and gave one to me. I could clearly see that those stickers were the only thing she material had and that they have been with her since a lot of days. She went school everyday with the same clothes, she didn't had a lot. And anyway she gave me one of her stickers and when I said no, that I would buy one for us, she said to me: "Someday I wanna be just like you. For now I want we to be dressed the same way". I know I didn't changed her life, but this little smart girl changed mine. She gave me everything she had. And since this day I restore my faith in humanity and I wanna give everything I have to make a life better than it was when I first saw it. Thats why I started my interests in Indigenous law.
