Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We love to travel and meet people.
ABOUT ME
We have been married for 26 years and look forward to the next 26 plus years. We are hard workers who love a good cup of coffee when we relax. We live in the country and heat our home with wood during a cold Minnesota winter. Our three children are just out of the house. Our son lives in California, where we love to visit and our daughters are in college. Todd is very handy with cars and he built the home we live in. Pam, being a teacher, is always learning and teaching, sharing experiences of life.
PHILOSOPHY
We work hard, are kind to others, respect people, live by the golden rule: do to others as you would have them do to you. Life is full of joy and should be shared with others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We would like to travel and stay with local people and to host others. Pam teaches students about the geology, cultures and geography of the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
France: stayed with a family of the children we hosted in years earlier. Australia:stayed with daughter of my dad's foreign exchange student from the 1950's! From Florida to Washington DC to Washington state we stay with family and friends quite often. Their homes are always open as well as ours is to them. We have had exchanged students in our home many summers from 1993 to the present: Russia, France (3), Japan (2), Norway, South Korea (school year)
Interests
Our first interest is people and their needs. Our other interests are the following: airplanes, orchids, native plant life, aquariums, machinery, tools, boating, swimming, water skiing, snorkeling, traveling, fishing, cooking, motorcycling, snow skiing, walking, roller blading, running, baking, scrap booking, reading, singing, playing piano, guitar and banjo, family cabin and extended family. Our interests grow as we learn more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was amazing to go to France and stay with people who's farms were built in 700 AD. Then to walk on the banks of Normandy, France. It was even more overwhelming to step foot on the soil of the American Cemetery there. Our whole family was very touched by this experience.
