About Me

Last year, I went on a trip around the world, working part-time as a digital nomad. Now I'm working in Swedish public administration in Malmö and officially moving over there in June. I moved from Canada to Sweden 6 years ago to live with my own Viking and after I graduated and worked a few years, we decided to take a year to explore the world together.

I love making food and eating food, living close to nature and discovering new places, people and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is great to meet local friends and get a different perspective from the one found on the regular tourist path. I can get quickly tired of staying at hostels, I like the quiet of having only a few people around. I think Couchsurfing is a great community initiative that benefits to people like me who travel on a budget and want to meet new people without necessarily partying every night.

International food and drinks, nature, human beings, new places and experiences, slowing down and enjoying every small happy moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like chilll music like reggae, soft house, 90s and 2000s, grunge, alternative rock, etc. as long as it makes me happy and relaxed!

I read and watch a bit of everything, I enjoy mystery, history, comedy, thrillers and documentaries. Last book I read was in Swedish: Stalker written by Lars Kepler, a crime novel. Last TV series I watched was Outlander, a time-traveling history drama.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my relatively stable life in Sweden for one year of adventure around the world with my partner, full with challenges that we managed to overcome (that I am particularly proud of since I often struggle with anxiety) and experiences we are not soon to forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French and English and a bit of Swedish which I really enjoy to do. Learning new languages is something I am always looking for. Lately, I thought of teachning myself some Portuguese to spend a few months in Portugal next year. I would also like to learn more about programming, web design, history, psychology and religion. Recently, I took 2 free online courses, one about programming and one about buddhism.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My language and cooking skills, not perfect but filled with creativity. Just any discussion about travels, culture, nature and whatnot around a cup of coffee or a beer would make me very happy!
