About Me

We are a Brazilian couple - Pamela Piovezan (34) and Roberto Souza (35) - that is travelling around Australia, Asia, and Europe. We lived in Perth (Western Australia) for 15 months to improve our English and that's where we started our dance project called Hakuna Matata Dance. Our mission is to use forró - a Brazilian dance in pairs - as a tool for self-knowledge and socialization. We want to spread it around the world.

We have been teaching forró in several places in Australia (Perth, Dunsborough, Sydney, and Melbourne). In July this year, we started our Asia trip that will take about 3 months. And in late September we are going to arrive in Europe where we stay until late December.

We are very friendly and sociable. We love meeting new people and new cultures. We are organized, clean, responsible, and fun. We would love to have new dance experiences in the places we will be visiting as well as to share our beloved Forró with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We would like to meet the locals and have a more enjoyable cultural experience in the places we are going to visit. We are keen to share our culture and know more about yours. We would like to hang out with the locals and have a not so touristic perspective of the places we'll be visiting. The social component is very important to us.
