About Me
ABOUT ME
Happy, energetic, goofy sense of humor. Likes coffee (studies show it helps you live longer, as if I needed another excuse to drink it...), travelling, being outdoors and trying new foods.
PHILOSOPHY
'Don't wait too long. Life takes unexpected turns, and we don't always have the time we think we have' - Sylvain Reynard
“I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” - Penn, William
Working in healthcare is a daily reminder that life does not always go according to plan. I would rather make time to enjoy moments & people today, than to delay them until the future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Host when I can and offer advice about my city when I can't
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met some lovely people and look forward to meeting more in the future.
Interests
Sports: prefer doing over watching, although generally avoid team sports especially if they require good hand to eye coordination ;)
I enjoy swing dancing, and my background in competitive swimming has helped me to foray in triathelons. To be honest, I am not a hard core athlete but I do enjoy the challenge of setting and completing a goal. My goal is simple: cross the finish line without vomiting or falling flat on my face...
I enjoy cultivating my garden in the summer as well as reading audiobooks on my long commute to work.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: classics from the 40-50's, jazz, popular/top 40's, 80's-90's and musicals
Movies: documentaries, romantic comedies, kung-fu/action (anyone see Ip man?)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting up early to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you to swim, ice skate or if you are interested, I can teach you how to suture
Learn: I am open to learning anything new, at the moment I am attempting to learn how to make soap without blowing myself (or my kitchen) up (tip: don't add water to lye - you might die...don't know why, but the reaction doesn't occur if you do the reverse)
