About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To finish writing a book about my two years in Palestine
ABOUT ME
I'm a writer from small-town Oklahoma who studied physics in college, then graduated and started traveling and writing. Landed in the Middle East in 2003 and got a job as a journalist based in Palestine in 2004. Now I'm in New York, just got married to my lovely Turkish husband, and recently published a book called Fast Times in Palestine.

PHILOSOPHY
The fact that waves crash is no excuse not to catch one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Appreciating the hospitality that comes my way and striving to pay it forward.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed and hosted quite a bit, and it's been good for my faith in humanity. I traveled around the Middle East alone for several months, and the warmth and kindness there was particularly breathtaking, but it's been mostly good everywhere.
