About Me
It’s been seven years since I last logged in and 16 years since I first created this profile, but my traveler’s spirit remains as strong as ever. Through Couchsurfing, I’ve met incredible people and caught glimpses of the world long before I could venture beyond my hometown. It showed me the real cities hidden behind tourist hotspots and even taught me how to play poker.
In the early days, I didn’t get to surf much—I was shy, unsure of myself, and made a few missteps. But despite that, I had amazing experiences and encountered so much kindness.
Now, after a few more years and a handful of countries, I’m back again, ready to keep exploring and rediscovering the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At the end of September, I left the warm and familiar embrace of Rio de Janeiro to visit friends in the U.S. But more than just a visit, it was my first step into the world of digital nomadism.
Couchsurfing feels like a way to reconnect with my younger self and meet like-minded people along the journey. As I navigate the balance between a full-time 9-hour workday and the constant packing and unpacking that comes with this lifestyle, I realized that CS offers a welcoming and familiar place to start.
Having shared many apartments in my life, I understand the importance of being a polite, non-intrusive guest. While I do need a quiet corner with a plug and internet to work from noon to 11 PM on weekdays, my mornings are free to spend time with my hosts or lend a hand with small errands during my stay. Other than I love long chats, going out for drinks or just be a nice company to watch tv or play card games.
Interests
Now that I’m well past my twenties, I’ve been embracing the concept of slow travel—taking the time to truly appreciate the present moment. I find joy in spending hours at cafés, reading, and watching the world go by, or simply wandering through the streets of a new city.
I have a deep love for cultural experiences, whether it’s exploring a great museum, attending live concerts, seeing plays, or discovering unique local events.
