About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To venture to the ancient site of Troy and re-enact the epic fight between Achilles and Hektor.
Shout freedom half baked wearing nothing but a kilt in the Scottish Highlands.
Just straight up wrestle duel to the bear death in the coliseum, loser buys pizza.

ABOUT ME

Greek-Cypriot descent.
Born and bred Zimbo.
Ex Croatia (Dalmatian islands) Tour Guide.
Construction manager in our family business.
Wannabe Zimbabwe tour guide :p

*I have become terrible at replying and checking my app, so please do not take it personally if I don't reply or don't do so on time. Write in advance.*

Learned a little more practical construction and landscaping; so far the houses are all still standing... the trees not so much.
I ventured to the organized chaos of London selling my soul for sustenance and shelter, the devil is yet to come knocking for debt collection, so far so good. Back home and not even Satan dares to visit Zimbabwe, seems I'm safe.

I have an incredible knack for accidentally breaking things, not ideal in a construction environment admittedly.

I'm pretty mellow and up for anything interesting and out of the ordinary so long as rising at the crack of dawn can be avoided, or eased somehow.
Playing sports always gets me excited... bloody hell I'm happy throwing and chasing a ball around with someone.

Currently into touch rugby, frisbee, working out as all other sports seem to slowly dismantle me.

I talk too little and write too much (evidently).
I supposedly stay awake too late, sleep too much and smoke hubbly too often.

I loathe wasting the glory of a full moon!

A few travels have been secured thus far although many more are planned when my wallet is more generous to my desires, specifically: drunken naked dancing on a Greek island, re-enact Achilles' epic fight scene on the shores of ancient Troy and go run with the bulls in Spain eventually.

PHILOSOPHY

All the Gods do is watch us for entertainment and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever become boring!
Chuck Palahniuk

You can discover more from a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.
Plato

The optimist sees a green light everywhere, the pessimist sees only a red stoplight and the apathetic an amber...The truly wise person is colour blind.
Albert Schweitzer

If you are going through hell, keep going.
Winston Churchill

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As a host I can provide:
- An introductory home cooked meal (provided you don't mind the occasional burnt offering by yours sincerely)
-A rough village tour if I'm not busy
-Laundry if need be within reasonable time otherwise soap and a bucket of water will be happily provided for :)
-A social hubbly bubbly/Hookah/Shisha (you have no choice)
-Greek coffee and a very poor reading of your 'future'
-A hot shower
-A weirdly comfortable couch
-Lovely entertainment from the passionate neighbours through the walls and their emotional children.

But rest assured at the very worst you can expect a cold candle-lit thawed leftovers dinner outside.

I'm also more than happy to meet up with people and or advise of what there is to do in and around our little town.

As a surfer I'm more than willing to help out with chores if I'm free, cook and clean. Requests for cooking are ill advised though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted a few times to date and met some interesting people from all over the globe - an enjoyable experience thus far and provided much needed spontaneous company!

I can only hope the Gods treat me kindly upon my CouchSurfing adventures.

Interests

Music. Movies. Series. Reading. Documentaries. Mythology. Africa. Wildlife. Museums. Historical Sites. Drawing cartoons sketches. Languages. Cultures. Interesting People.

I thoroughly enjoy Hookah/Hubbly/Argille, especially in a circle of friends over a few drinks and interesting conversation... or wild banter, and if I'm lucky a backgammon game given a worthy and willing opponent.

I love playing sports and always keen for a game of tennis, squash or soccer and touch rugby if we can organize a few numbers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee Jumping at Victoria Falls still slightly hung-over from New years, 110 metre drop...and then the gorge swing straight afterwards.

My Coke Fest Music Festival in Cape Town- hearing Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars lay live for the first time, incredible.

Sentosa Island in Singapore, a play park for adults; an island purely dedicated for entertainment - bloody terrific stuff! And then attending the amazing My Chemical Romance concert right afterwards.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hookah/Hubbly - from smoking and 'theory' to preparation.
Backgammon/tavli... from an intermediate player's perspective.
Greek coffee
Greek mythology and culture, as well as whatever Bulawayo has to offer.
I can always help answer questions about construction and property.

As for learning, I'm keen for anything and always willing so long as your passionate about it.
