About Me

*realizing I haven’t updated this in years
Hi! I am a Panda.
I love to travel and and meet new people. I was born in Rochester, NY and moved to Tampa, FL for school in 2009 by myself. I have loved every minute of Tampa and I graduated University of Tampa in 2013 with an art degree. I am looking to seek my passion and find myself while traveling the world. I hope to end up in New Zealand, but first I am starting with California! I have couch surfed my way to Fresno, California and have since landed a job as a graphic designer.

Updates:

Today I am living in Austin, Texas working as an Account Executive for a German company. I now have the flexibility to travel with a fully remote position. My hope is to continue to explore new spaces & meet new people as my crazy journey continues. I just came back from spending a month in Berlin this September and Wow, what an amazing place! Can’t wait to go back.

Right now I’m planning on driving to Florida for EDC Orlando and travel a bit more of Florida before planning my next European trip.

I am a free spirit who is open to try & experience mostly anything just once. I thrive off adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing has been an amazing experience for my boyfriend and I since we began our cross country journey last March. I have stayed with incredible people who have inspired me to keep surfing, keep dreaming, and never loose sight of my passions. Every experience I've had has been unforgettable and one of a kind. I think traveling with locals is the _only_ way to get to know a city properly. I love meeting new people, learning their stories, and sharing my own. I’ve had some absolutely insane times in Amsterdam & Berlin with incredible people. I currently do not have a space of my own to host, but as soon as I do, I will definitely be opening up my home to help and meet others just as people have done for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I was put on the “Delta frequent fly standby list” by my flight attendant friend. I had booked a flight to Colorado with the intent to go hiking 4th of July weekend. When you fly standby, you’re never guaranteed a seat on a flight and you will *always* be the last person to board a plane as your journey unfolds, so patience and good music is a must!

I arrive at the Austin airport at 7am for a flight at 9am to Atlanta. There was not a free seat for me until 1pm, so I hung out at the airport as the time passed. Fast forward a few hours… I’m now in Atlanta and I walk to the gate for Denver. The lady at the desk suggests there is no way I will make this flight.

So, naturally.. my next question is where can I go next? She listed about 10 destinations with a guaranteed a spot and with a print of a new ticket, me & my bag of hiking attire *with no proper jacket , was on her way to Amsterdam and would be arriving @10am the next day. Kind of nervous, massively excited, and ultimately proud of myself for taking a huge leap of faith and trust in the universe- I eagerly walked to the gate with no clue what was going to happen next. When I called my mom & friends to let them know I’d be uh taking a small detour from CO, they thought I was simply mad for doing this with fears and reservations for my job at the time. But, despite their harsh judgements I reassured them it would be just fine!!

Something I’ve learned in life? Never travel without your passport!!! Roll with the punches, and most times the journey is just as good as the destination. Work can always wait (I submitted last minute PTO for this trip… boss was not happy), freedom & flexibility when it comes to travel (and in life in general) goes a longgggg way.

In Amsterdam I spent my time (only a few days) sight seeing with other couch surfers and friends met at The Flying Pig Hostel. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention! I also took this opportunity to fly to Croatia 🇭🇷 and visit Split that week as well :-).

couch surfed from Tampa, Florida to Fresno, California while hiking the Grand Canyon, Half Dome, Guadalupe Peak, and exploring Carlsbad Caverns.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an empath and am very in touch with emotions of myself and others. I typically can help scope out solutions to problems others might find troubling to find answers for themselves due to my intuitive nature. Relationship issues? Mid life crisis? Anything else plaguing you? Maybe i can help!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe I can share stories, peace, and great company with others. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you! I love to travel and I am extremely open minded and will try almost anything.
