ABOUT ME

Moved from the Dutch city Den Haag (The Hague, La Haye) to Dublin to Dundalk to... Ravensdale... the countryside of Ireland! In jan '08 it finally happened; I moved to a place in between the sheep; they are in the garden!

Working as a freelance journalist & translator, the music brought me to Ireland. I play the violin/fiddle and sing, am recording a cd with an Irish singer/songwriter (Fergal) at the moment (we are called The Candides; myspace.com/thecandides).

In my new place, where I live with Fergal, I want to fully concentrate on music and writing.

* I write articles for newspapers/ magazines and am working on a novel
* Music! The Candides; which can be described as art pop, film music, classical, rock, well: something of everything.
And a 'good' musician loves to listen of course.
Golden Earring, Paul Simon, Dvorak, Yann Tiersen, Paul McCartney, Supertramp, etc etc.
* Painting

* Novels (still so many to read!)
* Walking/cycling in nature - it's a lot of cycling now, from where I live to town and back (into town takes 30 min. - downhill - back takes almost an hour - uphill) ...
