ABOUT ME

I'm always curious about what's nearest to me; I wonder who made the cup from which I drink my coffee, I wonder about the impact of quantum mechanics on our world, I wonder why you're wearing your hat at this angle. I wonder about myself, my students, my friends, our world and enjoy the wonders we discover wondering. Wonderful, isn't it :D?

PHILOSOPHY

I have been studying for several years and every year I become more aware of how little I know. So I do not claim that there is a right path to go. And if we follow a path, it has been trodden before and isn't that just a little boring? Based on my experience in teaching, I do however claim that we can learn more about our world and our future if we do it together. That's probably the only thing I am absolutely certain of.

I would like to meet as many people from as many parts of the world as possible and discover how they think, feel, learn and share my thinking with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with a friend whilst traveling through England. The experience was very rewarding and offered so much more than a stay in a hostel. I thank all our hosts for making our stay much more interesting than anticipated.

Thinking about things, sometimes a bit too much. Reading a good book, going to the cinema with friends. Juggling, running, playing basketball. Sharing wine or coffee and a conversation.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Uff, there's loads! Just recently I saw Moon and Source Code, both are brilliant. I like brainteaser movies like Matrix and V for Vendetta. Don't really like Inception, however. As for music, I like everything that rocks, has a beat that gives you goosebumps or gets under my skin in any other way. Wolfmother, Beastie Boys, Trent Reznor and Jurassic 5 are samples of that. When it comes to books, I think every book is somehow worth reading because if someone managed to write a book, there's bound to be something that I can learn from it. Nonetheless, I can't bring myself to finish 'The Great Gatsby'...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've seen a cat sleeping with her head in the mouth of a dog. I've made a church full of people laugh. The two are not related, however (would be great if they were, though :D)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

This might be only moderately relevant here, but I can teach math at a wide range of levels. I have passable skills in physics and computer science, know a thing or two about philosophy and few things more about linguistics. What is really relevant in my view, however, is that we learn to enjoy learning. That's what I'd like to teach and what I like to be taught again and again.
