About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Found the passion - now figuring out how to get there.

ABOUT ME

Apparently I smile a lot...that kind of says it all :)

I am a calm, pretty distracted, optimistic but realistic person. I am interested in ev-e-ry-thing that makes me realize how amazing the world is: History, biology, culture, language, art, colors, nature, humankind and animals, ...

However...being calm gets boring from time to time, then I'm rather loud and active and bursting full of energy.

Whatever mood I am in, I am always to the point and straight away. I'm not the kind of person who thinks one thing, but says something else, just to please people. Sometimes it can seem harsh or cruel, but I never mean to hurt :) I just hate 'blablabla'

Self-declared environmentalist and flexanist (flexible vegan :D );

Struggling to be wild and free from societal pressure.

PHILOSOPHY

Let your hair grow the way it wants to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living in Belgium, I mainly hosted people. Surfing was a smaller part of the deal, since I didn't have a lot of time nor guts to travel like a wild girl.

Living in Peru, was the other way around. I was travelling more to discover this beautiful country, and preferred couchsurfing above unpersonal hostals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The list of people I have hosted and who hosted me, keeps expanding! So far I had the luck to only have good CS experiences, everybody in the network is just so enthusiastic and honestly interested in the people they get to meet.

Interests

As I said before, I'm interested in, let's say, EVERYTHING. As long as it makes me wonder and it doesn't take much to amaze me.

Special interests would be:
learning how to play charango, ukulele and didgeridoo , ancient cultures, vegan cooking and baking , do-it-yourself-shizzle, sports.

I'm chaos in my head for wanting to learn everything at the same time, such as: photography, acrobatics, dance, singing, etc etc etc etc.

In general, I am just open to discover new stuff and activities. I want to taste a bit of everything, the world has so much to offer, why stick to one thing?

Music, Movies, and Books

Every kind of sound that has some spice and good rythm, that makes me wanna move my shoulders or close my eyes and dream away, is prominent in my music list. Blues, folk, electro, cumbia, drum & bass, rock 'n roll, rockabilly, name it!

Books with a touch of fantasy and tense are my favorites. Thrillers also attract me. I love reading, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of time for it.

Movies, ow I can't describe. I like almost everything, as long as it isn't too cheezy or sick-in-the-mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everyday I see amazing things. The most amazing moments are captured in tiny daily life actions and conversations, like a smile from a stranger crossing your path, seeing an old couple giggling like teenagers in love, the reflection of the sun in a puddle of water.

However...the absolutely most thrilling experience I lived so far, is "bathing naked in the third highest waterfall of the world"; it felt like being in the eye of a water tornado. Hard core adrenaline :D
