About Me
Hey there! I'm a Los Angeles native currently living and teaching in Istanbul. I'm really interested in working with refugee communities (hence my attempts at learning Arabic) as well as development studies which I studied at University. I hope to find people that I can share ideas with. I am very interested in current affairs and can easily delve into some pretty serious topics, but don't worry I can be quite chill too!
I have taken my time in Istanbul to travel a bit around the region- I backpacked through the balkans and have gotten to know turkey very well- and for next year I hope to find another place to explore.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet cool new people and to be exposed to authentic experience wherever I may be. I'd be happy to return the favor if anyone is ever in Istanbul!
I think it is especially important to discover a new city through the eyes of a native- getting off the beaten track. (although of course you have to be a bit touristy sometimes).
