Overview
About Me
I'm Paolo, I'm from Acquapendente, a very small town in central Italy, but I've been living in Rome for the past 8 years. I'm a chemical engineer, and a PhD student at the University of Pisa on the topic of rural electrification of develiping countries via minigrids.
In the past year I've spent 1 month in Central America and 5 months in East Africa

Music, Movies, and Books
I used to be a huge progressive rock nerd. Now I listen random different stuff, mostly songwriters and old, popular music (like MPB, congolese rumbas...).
I watch a lot of movies. I'll single out We All Loved Each Other So Much.
I don't read as much as I used to. If I have to choose one, Primo Levi is a very important author for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I worked in a kitchen for some years since I was 16, and the passion for cooking stuck with me. I'm quite proficient with the basics of italian cuisine.
While studying, I worked as a tutor, giving private lessons in math, physics and chemistry. I always tried to explain boring stuff as simply as possible, and I can help with that.
