Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Aside from my sheer interest in listening to people's stories, I am on couchsurfing because I want to experience more of the culture of a place rather than just merely "visiting" it.

What would be a better way (and cheaper) of doing this than with the help of locals or people who have substantially immersed themselves in it?
