I am Deaf, an ASL instructor at my local community college, and I enjoy traveling (though I feel like I don't get to do enough of it!) I also enjoy learning about different cultures and traditions and lifestyles.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people! We have hosted a few guests overnight who were on their way through town. We do have two adorable American shorthair kitties (one is very friendly, the other takes her time to warm up to new people), so please keep that in mind if you have allergies. We have one separate room which the cats are usually not allowed inside, and where you would likely stay if we host you (it has a private entrance from the outside).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some ASL (American Sign Language) during your stay! I would love to learn Spanish, more about cooking, sewing, entrepreneur ideas and techniques, art, traveling abroad, and lots more! If you have something unique to share, I'd love to learn!

I can share resources about learning ASL, getting in touch with your local Deaf community if you are interested, and many stories! I am willing to cook during longer stays and share food.
