I am a student of life, literally and metaphorically. Since my teens I've been studying the Tao Teh Ching and other "philosophies" or modes of thought. My plans are to continue my education, both formal and informal. I enjoy conversations with good people--which, I find, most of us are. I have a soft spot for good beer and bicycles.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Tao Teh Ching is my favored book. Another good and influential book was "Denial of Death" by Ernest Becker; I highly recommend this book. Otherwise...most of the books I've read. I've been lucky to get good suggestions.

I'm fairly open minded when it comes to music--but can't seem to get into country.

As for movies, I've been shying away from television and the cinema, although I've enjoyed "K-Pax" and "Magnolia."
