About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Err... fun?

ABOUT ME

My favorite things in the world are riding my bike, flying kites, catching fireflies and swinging. Everything I love is pretty much everything I loved when I was 8, for better or for worse and that's a pretty acurate description of me.

PHILOSOPHY

"I can never say what I want to say," continued Naoko. "It's been like this for a while now. I try to say something, but all I get are the wrong words -- the wrong words or the exact opposite words from what I mean. I try to correct myself, and that only makes it worse. I lose track of what I was trying to say to begin with. It's like I'm split in two and playing tag with myself. One half is chasing the other half around this big, fat post. The other me has the right words, but this me can't catch her."

Naoko raised her face and looked into my eyes. "Does this make any sense to you?"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By drinking. =o] I've been to a few gatherings in NYC, but I'm certainly not the most active.

Interests

Basically, I'm interested in poetry, pretty things and prop comedy. I think most everything I really care about is grouped in one of those things. Books and stories? All good language is poetry. Walking on the beach? Can't get much prettier than that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Yellowstone Park, I followed a herd of elk for a little more than a week hoping to get sight of the wolves that prey upon them there. After hiking and trailing them for five days, nestled on a ridge just south of the river the herd was drinking from, I got to watch the pack of 12 take out a five-point buck who was probably about a year old. Certainly amazing to see that raw, savage beauty.
