About Me

I'm grew up in a small town in a remote corner of India. Growing up, I always wanted to see the whole world. The best part about it I thought was the opportunity to meet new people. I finished school and then moved to New Delhi (A big city for the first time ever in my life) for my undergraduate studies. Luckily enough my dream of coming to Germany one day became a reality when I got into Bonn Cologne Graduate School for my Masters. I haven't looked back ever since.
I am an Astronomer by profession and passion. I love singing (used to be a professional singer at a certain point) and music in general. I am learning to play the Cajon right now. I love reading books and am always looking for something new to learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Growing up I was very shy and introverted. I always found it difficult to talk to strangers. Last year I forced myself to go to weekly erasmus meet ups in a pub here in Bonn. Some sort of a switch flipped and I enjoyed it so much that now I actively look for new people to meet with. A friend of mine was a member of couch surfing and I have always wanted to be a part of it especially coz of the opportunity to meet new and interesting people and listen to their adventures. Living in a student dorm, I couldn't offer a couch to any fellow couch surfers. But now I have finally moved into my own apartment and can have guests over! I am looking forward to be a part of this new community.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always keep changing my favorites. So, this section will always keep changing. Right at the moment:

Movies: I am a movie junkie. Right now I am really looking forward to watching Baby Driver. Some of my all time favorites are LOTR (trilogy), Princess Mononoke, Inglorious Bastards, Before Sunrise, The Cornetto Trilogy. But there are many more I am surely forgetting.

TV: Rick and Morty, GoT, The Newsroom, Mr. Robot, Silicon Valley, Suits, Sense8, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Legion, Stranger Things, Deutschland 83, The Mick ... (It goes on)

Music: SNARKY PUPPY (My all time favorites), Glass Animals, Jain, Arctic Monkeys. I also love listening to independent artists.

Books: Currently I am reading Neil McGregor's "Memoirs of a Nation", Tim Marshall's "Prisoners of Geography". Currently on my favorite and the one that I would recommend everyone to read is a set of two books by Graeme Simsion called "The Rosie Project" and "The Rosie Effect".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have overcome my anxiety of meeting and talking to new people. This is by far the most notable achievement of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you with you physics lessons if you want. I love talking about the universe and astronomy. But I don't do it unless you ask me to. So, don't you worry! I also can offer you lessons in cooking Indian food. Maybe teach you some Bollywood dancing.

Learn: Anything! I am always looking to learn new things. Teach me anything and I will always be up for it. Maybe show me something from your country, like food or music or just regular old stories for my collection ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my room mate who is also very interesting. We could pull pranks on her together and then have a laugh about it later :D

And if you don't want that then we can just share a good laugh about anything.

Last but not the least I'll always have Chocolates!
