About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am travelling South America with my girlfriend Laura (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/laura-zanetti) for half a year. We started mid-november to Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and sailed across the atlantic to Martinique as hitchhiking crew with a captain we met in Las Palmas.

In Las Palmas we met a ton of nice people and made new friends. We stayed in the hostel "Atlas" which was a real home to us.

Now we will try to find our way to Equador from the Caribbean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of sharing and fundamentally refuse egoistic world views. I am convinced that altruism will win over egoism in the long term and couchsurfing can help this developement on multiple levels by encouraging people to share and by letting people from all over the world share their knowledge and ideas.

So far I haven't been able to host any people because the flats I stayed in were usually quite tiny (and I was too lazy to complete my profile on couchsurfing). When I return from my travels I will move to a big flat with friends and my girlfriend where we plan to host couchsurfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed across the atlantic. It's not something terribly difficult or dangerous, but I really enjoyed the experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some things about medieval european fighting techniques from historical longsword fencing. I'm good with computers and can give some advice for absolute beginners to experts.

I love to chat about life, the universe and everything. I'm fascinated by the mind and the brain and the philosophy about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm good at fixing computers and I have some talent for handycraft but not much experience.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cabo Verde, Dominica, Grenada, Italy, Japan, Martinique, Netherlands, Norway, Russian Federation, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

Countries I’ve Lived In

Switzerland
