About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet as many people around the world and learn about their cultures, lifestyles. cutsoms, etc.

ABOUT ME

“Vitam vehementer vive“ Latin for “Live Life to its fullest”...I live and die by these words
Every day has so much to offer. The saddest thing is not death but the fact that most people don’t ever live at all...That would be one of my biggest fears...to go through this life and not experience what the world has to offer.
Now just a little about me...I love meeting new people...and consider myself to be a very social individual...I’d prefer a great conversation as oppose to going clubbing at night...not that I’m opposed to the idea but I’d rather hear an individual’s story instead of watching them dance the night away...
I love sports...I would be considered a typical sports fanatic...growing up I was always part of school teams and I had always been one of those people that followed stats and news of all my favourite teams. I’m a diehard basketball fan, but love watching baseball and American football too. I have grown fond of soccer...I mean European Football since my times here in England...all around I just love the competitive nature that sports has to offer...
I love to read...you can almost always catch me with my nose in a book...knowledge is power...I consider myself somewhat of an alchemist...let me explain...it has been said that long ago alchemist had the ability of turning lead into gold...many people believe this is literally and do not understand the true meaning behind it...turning lead into gold was not referring to physical properties but instead an individual’s mind...liberating an individual’s mind and helping them realize that if they focus their energy they can accomplish virtually anything...that my friend is a mind of gold...I feel as I continue to read and grow and learn and experience and so on and so on...I can help others realize their true potential...with that said...
I consider myself to be spiritual...I have always made religion a priority in my life...but I def wouldn’t be your typical religious freak...I consider myself to be very moderate...one thing I love to discuss which may be a touchy topic for some...well for many...is religion itself...I have studied all religions and feel that I can always have an interesting conversation when it comes to the topic...one thing I learned is that there is beauty in all religions...but it’s unfortunate that most people focus on the differences that separate us all as oppose to finding the commonalities that would help bring us all together.
I definitely would say I am very spontaneous...I’m all about having a good time...I’m not the biggest fan of making plans...my whole life is about going with the flow...when plans are made that’s when you have expectations...and expectations can lead to a hit or miss...but when you have no expectations and just go with the flow you’re almost always bound to have a good time...I personally don’t like to force things...People that know me would definitely say that I’m pretty laid back and relaxed...it’s almost impossible to get me upset...I would also be probably one of the most patient individuals that you would ever come across...
Now about travelling...which is what this website is all about....
When many people think of travelling they think about going to tourist attractions and resorts around the world...which isn’t bad but a real “traveller” would have a very different definiation to the word “Travelling”
Tourist attractions are great but in the world we live in today one can experience these things just by looking at pictures on the internet...
Going to resorts are fun and relaxing but one can experience that cookie cutter experience at any resort...
Now when you get a person that loves to travel and also has a sense of adventure...that’s when you get an elite class of people. Many of these people can definitely be sniffed out within couch surfing which is why I have joined this community.
Living all my life in the same country I decided around November 2009 that it was time for a change so a few months later I packed my bags and moved to England...now that I have been living here for about six months I was planning to move back home to Canada...that is where fate came in and had a different plan for me...Part way through my journey within England I had met another couch surfer who was much more experienced then I was and also shared that same sense of adventure...the man who is infamous in the couch surfing community was Josh Cahill...I told him how I was planning to move back home in a few months and he replied with one sentence that would change my life as we know it...
“Before you die (settle down) you need to live (travel the world)”
And so after that we starting making plans on a project that has never been fully done before...Travel the whole world starting out with no money...The adventure of Josh and HarPar (short for Harbir Parmar) will be coming soon...so stay tuned...
As a person that wants to help others and make a difference in this life...I realized that I needed to be able to understand the world around me...to accomplish this I had to get up and just go...with the plan to hitchhike and couch surf along the way...I intend to meet new people, have a bunch of crazy adventures and experience what this world has to offer...
Now finally...as I travel I have this one Golden rule...
“Treat others the same way you want to be treated”
I genuinely have love for humanity...with all that I have gone through in my life...the experiences, knowledge that I have gained, people that I have met...and now the adventure that I am about to embark...I will hopefully gain this unique ability to effectively help others, open their minds and show them they can accomplish anything they put their minds to...basically I want to make a significant difference in this world...
If this is the beginning of my story with God’s help I have no doubt that it will have one amazing end!!!
Let the Journey Begin...

PHILOSOPHY

You have one life...and in this one life I want to be able to make a difference by helping others to become more positive uplifting people in society.

For me to accomplish such a goal I would have to be very open minded...which would require me to understand and learn as many different cultures, customs, views, etc. of other people.
