I am a 31 years old Iranian girl. I moved to Umeå, Sweden 3 years ago for my Ph.D. studies. I lived and studied in the Netherlands for 3 years before that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is the great opportunity to experience new cultures! Through locals! and you can make a lot of international friends. That is a nice feeling to look at a map and say: "Hey, I know people in all those countries"! Also, I want to go a little bit out of my comfort zone :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went scuba diving in the Persian gulf in Qeshm. It felt truely amazing. I would definitely do it again.
Swimming (a little bit) in Aare river in Bern :)
I went backpacking/interrailing in Europe for one month by myself! I started from Maastricht and went to France, then to Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Turkey. One of a kind adventure of my life.😊
