ABOUT ME

Emily and I were married in May of 2012. Emily speaks Chinese (Mandarin). We grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and moved out west for school. Emily graduated law school in 2014 and will work as a patent lawyer. I study Sociology. We both tend to get along with a wide variety of people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sometimes we travel and sometimes we host. It comes in waves depending on our circumstances.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Traveling in France and Spain (Parry). Hosting in Salt Lake City (Both).

Interests

we like to travel, hike, camp,dance, cook, discover quality food, listen and play music, and learn. I like to bang on Djembe's and Emily likes to play the piano. Cook book favorites include the Silver Palate and Cooks Illustrated. Tracking down DDD place to hit...Or Yelp, Zagats, TVfoodmap, is a must. Emily managed to hit 30+ different restaurants in SLC in 2 months alone.

Emily and I like to snowboard and we both want to learn how to ski. I love to longboard and have a current quiver of three decks, none of which my wife will ride...yet :) Also, we used to enjoy watching Rifftrax and Mystery Science Theater 3000 before Netflix returned us to 90's TV shows.

Emily is in Law school and would like to go into patent law.

Parry is going to school for a masters in Sociology and dreams of becoming a professor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Parry and Emily got married!
2. Parry ran with the Bulls in Spain
3. Emily lived in Taiwan for 18 months
4. Parry rode a bicycle 2,600 miles across Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California to raise money to help fight a deadly skin disease.
5. Emily graduated law school
