Overview
About Me
I am just the biggest travel nerd in the world! Nothing makes me happier than exploring new places, meeting new people for all different walks of life, hearing their stories, and taking it all in.
My favorite part about travelling, though, is how it dramatically shifts one's worldview.
In the academic realm, I'm a Civil Engineering and Urban Studies graduate, meaning that I'm all about everything cities. What's their transportation like? What's the density? What are the big drivers of the local economy? This stuff is my jam.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
- Love meeting people (absolutely a people person)
- Prefer to engage with locals on a trip rather than remain in my "tourist silo"
- Am on a tight budget and it's huge help to me
Interests
My favorite pasttime is probably analyzing society at large. Why is our society organized the way it is? What makes us cooperate? How did different cultures form? Whether it's through reading, watching, or conversating, I'm always trying to develop better answers to these kinds of questions.

How I Met Your Mother is my favorite show of all time. Favorite genres are sitcoms and political/legal dramas.
Books: anything about politics, economics or sociology. Novel-wise, Percy Jackson, the Hunger Games and Cherub were my faves growing up.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking along the Great Wall of China was just surreal.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge of cities, social sciences and politics, and if you wanna learn Farsi/Persian, I've gotchu :)
