About Me

I'm Leah from the U.S. and I have a background in fashion, business and P.R. I have worked in New York City and London in the fashion industry, but like many of you I gave it all up to live abroad and travel the world. I taught English in rural South Korea for two years far from the bright lights of New York and London. I then traveled for about a year and moved to Australia for one year to do a working holiday visa. I plan to go back to Australia to do one more year, but am traveling for the next six months.

I am a laid back person who enjoys city and rural country life. As long as I have variety in my life I am happy to do almost anything at any time so long as it does not become repetitive and gives me a new outlook on life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The hardest thing I've ever done was moving to London less than three months after my mother passed away from breast cancer when I was 21 years old. In a way going abroad for the first time what was also the most difficult time of my life healed me and has become my normal way of life. Not quite amazing, but it wasn't an easy thing to pull off.
