About Me

Hi, I live in Vancouver, Canada and work for a NY based hedge fund as an Institutional Investment Consultant. By nationality, i am an Indian. As a part of my work, I travel often, and I love to meet new people and know their story. On every trip, I am always seeking some adventure mixed with coffee chats, long walks and endless conversations. On topics, I have a keen interest in history/regimes/civilizations/geopolitics. I am always up for any dance/musical nights. I love cooking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my solo trip to Spain in Mar'19, in a Youth Hostel in Valencia, I met an Israeli guy who got me added to Valencia CS community group and it was an absolute delight to hang around with a dozen of like-minded travelers.

Next day I became a verified member of Couchsurfing.

Interests

Having moved to Canada 3yrs ago, I discovered a different set of likes and interests. I am always up for anything outdoors and I love social events like social deduction games, walking tours, etc. Living in BC, I established this keen interest in going frequently for hikes in summer and weather permitting biking trails. Winters are about indoor group games. I travel very often so I am always on the hunt for new experiences - be it food, clubs, or a place of historical or cultural significance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Among movies I like thrillers more, when it comes to music - I prefer more old school and theatrical. On books, I love the thought-provoking ones and something which has an element of history and evolution.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I skydived from 15,000 ft in Portugal which was one of the most breathtaking experience of my life so far. I still remember the mixed emotions gushing from within after the free fall.

I love to talk about my travel experiences. On intellectual side, I love to talk about Economics, Markets, Finance and Investing.
