About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel to as many cities in Germany and surrounding countries as possible within 3 months and connect with a lot of cool, diverse people!

ABOUT ME

Hmm...this section is pretty hard to fill...You won't really know until you meet me but here is a brief blurb:

Born in India. Grew up there till age 9. Moved to the USA. Been living there ever since. First time in Europe- Summer 2010 through DAAD RISE Program. BEST Summer yet!

I am an easy going guy. I always like to be busy and so I am rarely bored. I am always doing something- whether it is travelling and exploring new parts of the city, or playing sports with friends, or playing video games, or watching TV/movies, or surfing the net, or meeting new people. I am spending 3.5 months in Germany this summer and want to make the most of it by travelling all over Europe! So far I have been to Wupertal, Berlin, Hamburg, Koln, Amsterdam, Munich, Heidelberg, Maastricht, Paris and I plan on going to Austria.

Any other questions/comments/concerns, just ask!

PHILOSOPHY

You only live one life - make the most of it, have a blast, take risks, and take the path less traveled by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently made a CS account and am amazed by how LARGE the network is! I plan on surfing throughout Europe and then hosting once I get back to the US.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently joined CS and it seems really cool! Have surfed a few couches throughout Germany, Paris, and Maastricht and have had an AMAZING experience at each and every city. Learned so much about the culture, lifestyle, and history of each city. Staying with a local makes a HUGE difference.

Interests

Sports - Basketball, Football, Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, pretty much any sport
Video Games - mostly sports games like Madden, NBA, racing games like Need for Speed, Super Smash Brothers!, Mario Kart...

Hanging out with friends, partying, watching movies, hiking, exploring nature and the outdoors, camping, going bowling, partying, exploring a city by walking aimlessly, among other things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First legitimate long distance biking experience was riding to the Netherlands and back from Germany for about 25 km on an empty stomach!

Attended the last ever Love Parade in Duisburg.

Rented a BMW and went on a spontaneous road trip through Switzerland, Italy and France. Went to Luzern first, and then drove to the Stelvio Pass in Italy, and then stayed in a hut on top of the Swiss Alps. 2000+ km in under 48 hours!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

India, United States
