Overview
About Me
Hey couchhosts and surfers! I am a 30 year old grad student from US in the middle of a career transition from Electrical Engineering to Emerging Markets Consulting. My focus has been on FDI in the Eurasia / CIS region; I recently studied abroad in Moscow and will be in Russia / Armenia this summer interning with the Central Bank of Armenia.
I am usually humble and get shy when it comes to describing myself, but my friends describe me as a calm, level-headed, trustworthy, smart, and interesting person person to talk to who gives them new perspectives to think about, especially when it comes to current affairs and political / economic developments around the world. I do believe I have an independent mindset, yet the key is being open minded to learning new ideas everyday.
As this is my first time joining this site I naturally lack reviews here, but for what it's worth, my airbnb reviews can be seen here https://www.airbnb.com/users/reviews/124873533
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just heard about couchsurfing from a friend who had a great experience and encouraged me to try it out, as I've always been using hotels.com, Airbnb and HostelWorld, and have yet to experience couchsurfing. I am happy to host in my house in Chapel Hill, NC, and it would be great to try out this novel concept while in Armenia / Russia!
