ABOUT ME

Nothing I could write here would be even close from a good description. In fact, writing is more about wandering around the subject you aim than describing, touching it, showing it. And so this is how I chose to speak of myself, writing my thoughts in place of telling you something. I believe you'll be able this way to feel how I am in every day's life. Thoughtful, maybe. But also funny.

Life is a big, abstract and absurd corridor. I walk into it just to see what's next, who's coming, and why. Being a couchsurfer is part of that life experience. I meet strangers so they can make me vibrate on my chair by their storytellings. Sharing is a good way to feel alive. And believe me, I have a lot to share ! So you come here right now :) !

PHILOSOPHY

Weird question. I don't build my life on some precepts. I do have moral principles though, just enough to be coherent and more than honest. Go read my description, it should tell what you need to know :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did not have any in the last 5 years. But before that I got in some french, german and even fellow canadians. All of my experiences have been richful and that's why I'm back on couchsurfing. There is something into this concept of meeting up with strangers that I love and miss a lot nowadays. The traveller is mostly openminded and on some travelling-adrenaline that puts him in a very special state. He wants to know, see, share, meet and move. A state I'm almost always into. And that's why I'm here, to be able to taste again the wonderfulness of being with people that feel alive, haven't got too much engulfed into life's mechanics.

For the most, it's been the same with everybody I met.
We met. We shared a lot on everything. We drank beer, ate good meals and had a lot of fun. It felt like if they were old friends I hadn't see in a very long time.
One of them, Jérôme, became a good friend and my roommate for three months. That's how cool couchsurfers are.

Intereses

Above all, I enjoy music and cinematography. Working both as an independant video shooter and as a video director and producer for an ecological home design company, I can tell that I am passionnate when I hold on a camera and start shooting. What I like the most about it is all the subjects and people you encounter through all those shooting. Having interest into everything and everyone, it gives opportunities to learn on a lot of things, which is really exciting.

I won't list them all.

I like movies from Sion Sono, Alain Resnais, Mathieu Kassowitz, Ridley Scott, Pierre Falardeau, Pierre Perrault, Robin Aubert, Robert Morin.

To give you some titles : Waltz With Bashir, Le temps des bouffons, Pour la suite du monde, L'année dernière à Marienbad, La haine, Hazard, Suicide Club, Old Boy, Irreversible, À l'origine d'un cri, etc. I could write a hundred here.

I like every kind of music, Metal first (Deftones, System of a down, Cryptopsy, Gris) then anything else, from jazz to classical, or indie-rock, electro, whatever. No Country though, and not much of Hip-hop, please.

I enjoy reading, but I do not have a specific book. I read every kind of text. From fiction to political books.

I also enjoy very much Comics.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Got a couple of those, but most recently, I've directed and produced a music videoclip which I am really proud of.

And I also went with my team to France for a two weeks video shooting. Organized and coordonnated most of it.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I love Quebec and Montréal and I would really enjoy being your guide though this city and county of mine. I'd like to take you to the best bars, restaurants, shooting spots. I'd like to speak with you about its history and make you taste its best beers.

If you play Music, I have a guitar. And if you do have one too, we could share our inspirations; do a little jam.

If you like photography and videography, I got a good camera and if you have one too, we could do a little shooting tour of Montréal.

You like biking ? Montreal is good for that too and I could get you to visit more in one day that you would have in a week on foot.

Should it be beer, music, photography and cinema, biking, or just walking and discovering, I'm sure we would have a lot of fun. And if you share those passion, then I guess I have also a lot to learn by hanging out with you.

I do know a load about Cinema, Music and Video games. Not bad also in Art, generally. I'm very talkative and my mind is full of thoughts. I question things.

I find answers. That's something not every one can do.
