Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"live" meaning experiencing the world, not just being there.
ABOUT ME
I whish to meet new cultures and interesting and friendly people.
My Girlfriend and me mostly travel together to share those great experiences.
We prefer more adventure-like holidays (as those we could experience hiking through Scottland). I would describe myself as friendly, helpful, humorous, reliable and open minded.
If we should meet some time, I am pleased to tell you more :)

PHILOSOPHY
Many days it is "live to work". Since I would like to turn it into "work to live" I try to spend more and more time on planning interesting trips to other countries or other inter-cultural activities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to help different cultures to understand each other. I think I can do my part in just trying to get to know as many cultures as I can. Meeting different people with interesting stories. Give and take.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Several times I have been treated so friendly and helpful by people that did not know me at all, that I like participating in bringing the world and its cultures a bit closer to each other. Give ant Take.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On our hiking tour in northern Scottland we stayed the night in a lonesome "bothy" a shack with no furniture in the middle of nowhere with always open doors for travellers. It was about a 3/4 day walking distance through a Glenn to this bothy and from it another 3/4 day walk to the next road.
It was stormy and rainy that night and we thought the small house would fly away, but it did not. Waking up it was still a little rainy but the only thing you saw taking a step out of the door was just beautiful landscape, some old stone ruins from a house or tower and a lot of sheep - but no "civilization" anywhere. In this house there was a guest book in that we read from other people spending even several nights or even new-years-eve in that shack. It was so cool just reading other peoples adventures like an old story book in that small house.
I guess this is not a "once-in-a-lifetime-thing" but it was truely amazing and one of the best thing I have experienced so far.
Other than that I still dream of my trip to New Zealand, and hiking in the himalayas of Nepal was amazingly beautiful as well.
