I want to travel as much as possible and make meaningful relationships around the world. It's all about that for me, not just seeing another statue or museum!

ABOUT ME

I grew up in NYC and I know how blessed I am to have had that experience. I love my work and couldn't think of anything I'd rather do. Travel is a passion of mine and if I had a endless resource of money I would travel all the time. I'm an almost vegetarian and I love to cook and share with friends. Living in the PNW (14 yrs)it's always great to hike in the woods and just be in nature. Listening to jazz is another favorite must do's. Really LOVE meeting new people and hope to have many friendships developing because of this web site.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is my first day entering the fascinating world of couch surfing. I can't wait to start meeting new friends and to explore all the possibilities this wonderful web site has to offer.
I do have a small apartment but it's very cozy and the couch is comfortable, really. I have friends stay here and everyone enjoys their time. I live in a fabulous neighborhood just uptown from downtown Seattle. The bus is outside the door and in 6 minutes, voila, you're in the heart of the city having dim sum in Chinatown or lunch at the Pike Market.
I love showing people around and sharing ideas, differences and commonalities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had some really wonderful experiences in my CS travels. The diversity of cultures, living spaces and personalities are so much fun to discover. I tell everyone about this web site even when they look at me like I'm crazy....some people have no imagination :-)

Interests

Love meeting new people and sharing ideas, cultural differences, food, etc.I am very interested in alternative medicine and intellectual conversations.
I have a great sense of humor and I like being around people who make me laugh. Music is a big part of my life and couldn't live without it. Great flea markets and thrift stores are so much fun! I'm a tue Gemini and have diverse interests, sometimes all at once.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love the movies and to read but these days the only books I have time to read are non fiction related to energy work, Quantum physics and Eckhardt Tolle's work. Love and admire him. Recent favorite movies are "The Reader" and "Slum Dog Millionaire". Deva Premal's music is what I play many times at my office. Latin jazz, Diana Krall and many more. The music from the 40's are favorites of mine. You could also find me dancing alone in the living room with Olatungi drumming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Aside from being a Mom I would have to say that my first trip traveling alone anywhere was an amazing adventure. It was about 6 yrs ago and I went to Greece, for the first time, to look for my son's Father's family so he could know his full heritage when the time was right. From the moment I arrived it was like a well choreagraphed dance with one helpful person after another to another show me the way. A man I met the first day came and picked me up on his motorcycle the next morning and took me everywhere in the town to find someone. There's too many magical moments and details to write here but it was an incredible adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

What a perfect segue for this part. Learning is such an important and crucial part of my development as a therapist, friend, Mom, teacher and human being.
I am very passionate about sharing what I know with others and I'm in a transition in regard to that. I want to start to teach in a more formal setting some of the things I've learned in life and as a body worker. I've even cut friend's hair, did their make up and basically transformed them into what I saw as their potential and it has proven to be very powerful for them and myself. I'd like to do more of that.
