About Me

Living in Antwerp, Belgium for no good reason. Well, the city is kinda cool, but that's it :)

Studied finance and business, but not yet sure what to do with that. So I work as a Skype tutor for Russian and Ukrainian learners, which allows me to travel and work anywhere with stable wifi. Lately my boyfriend and I and a few more guys have been developing a language learning site, which I'm very excited about. (It's not even in beta yet, so no link for now)

I like movies and tv-series, sci-fi books (and audiobooks when I can't sit still), addicted to podcasts. Enjoy sewing, though I have a lot of unfinished projects. Anyone can teach me how to install a zipper? Recently bought a skateboard, so that's new.

When travelling, I go to cafes for people watching, good coffee drinking and atmosphere enjoying. I prefer to see how people live now rather than look at ancient ruins (sorry, Acropolis!).

I am quite observant, have a good ear, but also can contribute to discussion on most topics (at least I like to think so)))

Heard people say about me that I am very empathic. In this respect, I think understanding people's emotions and sharing them is good ground for finding new friends.

I am on a neverending quest to defeat procrastination and laziness. I will try again tomorrow, maybe

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals. Hostels are great, but you end up with a bunch of random people who are tourists themselves. It can be fun, but it kind of makes every place feel the same.
So far I've only used CS to stay somewhere twice, in the Netherlands and in Czech Republic. My bf and I have hosted quite a few people ourselves, though.
