About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a happy, fun and well travelled person.  My German and Irish friends, who i met in Hobart Tasmania, who have couch surfed around the world have recomended this for me....it is my first time (couch surfing).  Although, i had some unofficial experience of it when I lived in Croatia and Bosnia in 2008 and 2009 through people I met in the markets in the city of Split, Croatia.

PHILOSOPHY

Be kind to people, help others through teaching and learning and hope to fall in love

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have joined a couch surfing meeting in Hobart through  Sean and Marius, the Irish and German travellers, who have always talked about couch surfing and their wonderful experiences.  I have yet to do any official couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met like minded people through this organisation.  It is brilliant

Interests

I travel and paint.  Playing  chess is one of my hobbies. I love teaching and learning.  Experiencing the world and cultures from other countries

Music, Movies, and Books

My list is very extensive and shall remain empty until i have the TIME to fill this section out.  But in a nut shell, in the past I have written my own plays, from original to 15 minute adapted versions of Romeo and Juliet-that 14 year old kids can perform on stage, whilst getting some grasp of the Elizabethan language.  I love teaching and reading about Drama and Art to reading about mathematics, chess, modern literature and modern literature critisism.  I can not spell.  I am a bit of a film buff too and read books every day.  I love all music but have been getting into Bosnian Gypsic lately as well as independant Hobart bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I will tell you two things: during my life I have had two very serious accidents, putting me in comas, for long periods of time; one in 1989 and one in 2007-55 days asleep.  When I eventually woke up, I had to re-learn all things that you learn as a child: from walking, to talking and remembering my name..since this I have made my life remarkable!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a teacher, of many subjects (did i mention that I was awarded a National Exellence in Teaching Award).... not because i am extreemly smart, on the contrary really....it was for my abilities relating to people, students, parents and other educators and understanding their needs and being adaptable , flexible and creative in my approaches to learning.  I am about to embark on an international teaching career, either in Istanbul or Jakarta

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
