ABOUT ME

Hey, I am Pauline. I made this account for me and my former flatmates. We've always had a lot of fun inviting people and breaking with our routines to spend time with them.
After studying and working at a school for students with special educational needs for a few years I became a traveller again, which means I am surfing and not hosting. Now, after returning from one year of travelling, freedom and peace of mind I couldn't stop myself and spontaneously started some work exchange on Ærø island in Denmark. So learning Danish and gaining some shipbuilding experiences will be my next projects:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For a long time i've been hosting people and it's always been great and special times we've spent together!
Due to my recent travels I could not host people anymore but slept in lots of other people's places. Some were organised by this website, some were found just occasionally by meeting people on the road. Everyone is different and it's always special to feel the friendliness of people and to be invited to share parts of their life!

Interessi

I always find it amazing how easy -if not to say how much easier- things can be the more we get away from materialism. I think a lot of my interests are in a way based on these thoughts about simplicity. Couchsurfing for example is one way of living it.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Summer 2018 me and my boyfriend started a hitch hiking trip through the south east of europe for two months and hoped not to be eaten by bears while camping in the Carpats or elsewhere...:)
Recently we've been (hitch) hiking across Canada for half a year of which we've spent two months discovering Newfoundland. Experiencing this remote part of the world including it's stunning and pure nature as well as the distinct "newfie"-kindness and generosity of people still makes me wanna turn around and head straight back!
