CURRENT MISSION
To live the moment
ABOUT ME
I am a 31 year old Austro-Egyptian. Because of being a cultural mixture I never felt tied to a physical home. Therefore I moved to Barcelona, where I spent the last 8 years.
After having reached a very comfortable life style I decided to start travelling and discovering a bit of the world in a 1 year rtw trip through india, south east asia, mexico and south america.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't judge anyone, as you don't know anything about others. We can only valorate actions towards us, but not persons. It's very arrogant to classify people.
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I first heard about this I couldn't believe it. Nowadays, when so many of us feel empty and too egocentric, we look for volunteer jobs, pay money to NGOs to calm our feeling of guilt for being better off than others in this injust world. Which is great, but doesn't make us more human automatically.
Couch Surfing is a much closer approach of helping each other out. It brings people together, raises interest in other cultures and amazingly accelerates cultural exchange. I am a big fan and hope to contribute with a very comfortable couch once I've settled again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only very positive experience so far. Met 2 couch surfers in Mumbai and one in Aurangabad. Very helpful, opendminded community.
