ABOUT ME

Ahhh it's so difficult to summarize what's inside your heart and mind... Hmm let's say i feel very curious about this strange, marvellous, sometimes hard, sometimes beautiful thing called life. I've always wondered so much about it. It's such a great thing and at the same time it's evident how us, human beings, are not valuing as we should... So yes, I'm a person that still wakes up every moring feeling surprised of being in this world, in this body, and that wants to make the best out of it...

And being more specific (but not necessarily more accurate) I work as a musician, as an artcraft producer and as a teacher of languages. And I love my jobs very very very much.

PHILOSOPHY

No divisions, no more nationalism, ISM'S in general... So, to focus on what brings us together, in what makes us sooo simila,r instead of focuing on our differences (most of the times such superficial differences as gender, race, ideas, sexual orientation, beliefs)..

I don't want to live individualistically anymore.. I feel a longing to share.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been using Couchsurfing for years, not so much as surfer but as a host using a shared profile with my exgirlfriend. We loved the experience of opening ur doors to travellers and we never had even one bad experience. They were all so fulfilling. But, as we decided to split up as a couple, we also thought it was time to create our own profiles independently. A hard thing to do after so many experiences shared, but it feels like the right thing to do as well. To move on and start all over again. But yes, Couchsurfing has given us so so much and here i am wanting to continue with it.

兴趣

Soooo many... people's life mainly, the way they live, act, eat, think.. different ways of looking at world, expressions of all that in music, cinema, literature, arts in general... I'm very attracted to the non-institutionalized forms of Buddhism, somatic meditation (meditations that include the body and not just try to get rid of it) indigenous cultures and their sacred plants (as Ayahuasca in Southamerica), Dancing! (specially afro-related dances like salsa)... traveling to open the mind... so so many things....

This is the most difficult question to answer as so many have touched my heart.. But I'll list some of the ones that have truly touched and changed my life.

Movies: Wings of Desire (Wim Wenders), Dogville (Lars Von Trier),

Books: Journey to Ixtlán (Carlos Castaneda), Demian and Siddharta (Herman Hesse) Letters to the schools (Jidu Krishnamurti. A brave new world (Aldous Huxley)...

Music: All kinds of,it's such a vast universe, but I've noticed that if the style of music had some black influence on it, I usually like it!!

Living with Tibetan monks at a Buddhist centre in England... Playing Colombian music with my closest freinds around some Saouthamerican countries... Attending Ayahuasca ceremonies with Colombian amazing and wise shamans from The colombian amazone jungle... Wow, and so many things to be gratefulfor in this life!!

I've been teaching guitar, bass, and Colombian percussion for years now, as well as Spanish to foreigners and English to Colombians mainly.I'm also starting to teach Salsa dancing with my sister. And I'm learning Portuguese lately!
