About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world before it ends!

ABOUT ME

I'm a peaceful and easy-going person. Even though I'm not that partysome, I have many friends and people tend to be rather content with my company. Apart from travelling I also like hiking and any kind of sports, reading books, learning languages and history.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's short and interesting. Would be nice not to feel that it was wasted when I die...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had a chance both to surf and to host people. I only had positive experience regarding CS and no one ever complained about me, so I regard myself a good member of the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First time surfing was in Jeonju, South Korea with Tom. Very nice experience which surely made me eager to stick with CS!
After that - Taipei and staying at a very cosy flat of Bryant and Arielle. Second experience and another very very positive.
I also had a chance to surf in Japan, Hungary, Austria and Lithuania. Always meeting nice and helpful hosts.
I had much surfing experience before I even joined CS - I used to travel a lot, staying in my friends' places and I had guests when I lived in Espoo, Finland.
While staying in Austria I discovered that you can meet plenty of cool people simply attending the weekly CS meetings, which I regularly did.

Interests

Anything that's good! Good films, good books, good parties, good food!
I'm a Linux OS user and a big fan of open-source software.
If I had to name one thing that makes me most happy I would say it's traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some old movies: "It's a wonderful life", "Easy rider", all Walt Disney's animations! Some new ones: "Matrix", "Requiem for a Dream". Recently I got sucked into Korean cinematography: my favourites are "Failan" and "Oasis".
All kinds of music. I mean it: anything from classical to electronic. Apart from jazz, which I simply don't understand... I guess rock is what I choose most often.
I read all Harry Potter books twice ;). I really enjoy fantasy books, but I appreciate historical background involved in the plot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling around south-east Asia and Morocco. Those places were a new, exotic challenge for me and taught me a lot about the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a mainland sailor.
I speak English pretty well, so I can help others improve their language skills.
